I think he does this to keep her safe. It could be on one of his nightly patrols. He ignores her, and yet has so much respect for her mind. I’m sure he does the same for all the students, but especially the Golden Trio. He knows how important they will be in the future. They are so innocent, and he knows what the Dark can do.
